We find our resident Zombie in familiar territory. Sitting on her weight bench at Zombie Academy, towel around her neck. Her workout gear staining with sweat, loose strands of dark hair matted to her forehead, a bottle of water in her hand, her head bowed a little but it’s the eyes that grab the attention the most. The dark eyes looking towards the camera, a newfound intensity within them, as a smirk slowly rises on the left side of her face.
“Hey Mile High, missed me yet? Don’t answer that, I already know the answer. It’s funny how something that makes no noise at all like an eye roll can echo and deafen when it’s unanimous. And I’ve heard the commentary from the anonymous masses. The Shieldmaidens are a great group, and would be better if they dropped Zombie. She’s too callous, too emotional. Started off great until she was exposed as a fraud. People have even started cheering for the Coven for ridding Mile High of me.
But, just as I’ve proven in my program with Jansen, they always come up short. I’m back, and I’m not happy.”
Zombie gets up and starts pacing around the gym, shaking her head.
“I’m going to spare you all how I spent the holidays, none of you care and it’s none of any of ya’lls business anyways. See, I figured out that was the issue. Too much of my energy was put into living my life as a public figure. Bit my tongue on a lot of developments, towed the line, but yet showed all of you the personal side of me. Why? I don’t even like any of you.
My allegiance extends to my sisters, those who wear the same patches I do. Well… most of them. Just like any family, there are those members you thank your lucky stars you only have to see on special occasions. Not going to name names, but I’m sure they’ve figured out who I mean. We had a clubhouse full of practically refugees and I may have been there all of twice since they arrived? Didn’t really know many of them, didn’t realize introduce myself either. Lexa’s the social one. Fuck, if she could cut my promos and just let me loose in the ring, it’d be perfect.”
Zombie shrugs and takes another gulp of water.
“So, let’s cut to the chase here, shall we, and talk about the Dana Ellis Experiment. The Woke Warrior… okay, let’s just stop here for a second because I have an issue with ANYONE who calls themselves a warrior and then cries and bitches when something doesn’t work for them. Yeah, I’m looking directly at you, Red. Sorry, had to get that off my chest because the whole Warrior thing just triggered my Fuckyouometer a little. But we’re not talking about E.M., it’s you, Dana. Now, few will give you this benefit, but I'll extend it once. You got people talking. You got yourself targeted and you had a lot of people lining up to kick your ass. You wanted to be seen and heard. Except you didn’t take advantage of it. You ran out of steam before you can even make a name for yourself.
Last episode of Throwdown, HOW long did you last against Bullet, seventeen seconds including the ring entrances? Pathetic, really. And as I record this, still nobody’s heard from you. It’s a shame too because I was actually looking forward to this match. I wanted a long drawn-out affair where I would just beat you into oblivion over and over again, but I don’t think you’ve even woken up since the match with Bullet. Will you even show up this show? Do you even know what year it is?
Listen, I’m not going to take up much more time, but I do want Mile High management to pay close attention to what I’m about to say next. Yeah, the Shieldmaidens are behind the eight-ball at the moment. Coven did what they said they would, but it won’t last. The rest of my sisters are wrapped up in their own things, I’m wide open. My mission is two-fold. I am going to decimate the Coven single-handedly, and I’m not settling for some bullshit Television title that was lifted up then demoted during my time with it. I’m going to break every bitch and bastard in my way to the big title. Friend, foe, those concepts no longer matter. I was the big dog in Mile High last year, I’m taking what I deserve. And if anyone has a damn issue with that? Meet me between those ropes.
Fuck what’s in your head. After I’m done with you, it’ll be splattered all over the mat for all to see anyways.”
