The Real McKenzies’ “Pour Decisions” starts with its pounding drumming. As the song swings into the main riff, Jackie “Bandit” Layton comes almost skipping out, the other Maidens all following out behind her. They escort her to the ring, Bandit bouncing and skipping along as if she has not a care in the world. She slips into the ring and pops up onto the second turnbuckles, raising her hands in the air, welcoming the reaction from the crowd.
Short Bio: Born in Creignish, Nova Scotia, Jacqueline Michaela Layton came into this world with seemingly endless privilege. Her father’s family was involved in the big liquor business and was very well off. Alas, this was not to last as her parents broke up and her mother moved her to Bay St Louis, Mississippi so that her mother’s gambling habits could be satiated near family. Due to this, and her mother’s habit of wandering for frequent trips, young Jackie was able to move about at her leisure, often taking her fellow immigrant friend, Alex “Bullet” Carbajal, with her. They met the Shieldmaidens on one of many trips to the New Orleans area and joined up in relatively short order.
