We open up just as we see Jackson Shane leaving the office as the owner of Bras d’Or, Jackie “Bandit” Layton sits behind her desk while Tori Carter, Molly “Mox” Kenyon and Kara “Killer” Carter sit opposite her, the latter seemingly with her mind elsewhere.

Tori Carter
That sounded very positive! We might actually be getting our daughter back soon, Molly!

The redhead squeezes her fiancée’s hand and smiles brightly.

Molly “Mox” Kenyon
Does sound promisin’, don’t it?

Tori nods and then turns to her younger sister.

Tori Carter
What do you think, Kara?

After a brief silence, Killer snaps back into the room and looks over.

Kara “Killer” Carter
What? Oh… yeah. Sounds great.

Bandit cocks her head.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
Something he said not sitting right with you?

Killer glances over to Bandit and shakes her head.

Kara “Killer” Carter
Oh no. I’m sorry… I’m just… thinking about Gabs is all.

The behemoth turns her attention back to her sister and smiles.

Kara “Killer” Carter
I’m truly happy with how things are looking, Tori. We’ll be getting Rose back soon.

Bandit smiles.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
Don’t you worry about Taza. She’s just like the rest of her family, there will be no stopping her getting by this little setback.

Killer nods.

Kara “Killer” Carter
I know. But… you know what it’s like when shit like this happens to the ones you love. If it were Bullet in her situation… yeah… you know she’s gonna be fine, but it still doesn’t stop you from worrying because you love her.

Bandit nods knowingly.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
I’d also have Ange in my ear constantly, telling me everything’s going to be alright. This is kind of like when we had to go intervene on my mom and get her to go to intensive rehab because of everything she was doing to herself.

Kara “Killer” Carter
Yeah.

Killer glances back over to her sister.

Kara “Killer” Carter
Anyway… given how things are finally looking up in terms of getting Rose back… how about we celebrate? Drinks are on me. It’s quite the advantage being a champion in two different companies at the same time.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
Sounds good to me…

Mox nods her agreement.

Molly "Mox" Kenyon
Don’t mind if I do, Sugar!

Tori Carter
Certainly.

The four of them stand to their feet and leave the office before making their way over to the bar. Mox goes behind the bar and finds a bottle of champagne along with four champagne flutes and begins to pour the celebratory drinks.

Kara “Killer” Carter
Never been all that keen on champagne but one ain’t gonna be a problem.

The four then pick up their flutes and Killer raises hers.

Kara “Killer” Carter
To getting Rose back.

They clink their glasses together as they all take a drink of their champagne. Killer visibly grimaces at the taste which causes the other three women to chuckle a little.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
Not much of a champagne girl, are ya, Killer?

Kara “Killer” Carter
Nope. I doubt even Mox’s cocktail skills could make me like the stuff.

Killer places her champagne on the bar and pushes it towards Mox.

Kara “Killer” Carter
I’ll take a beer please, Mox.

Mox chuckles before nodding and reaching down for Killer’s usual.

Molly "Mox" Kenyon
I got your pleasure, Sugar.

She slides it over and nods.

Molly "Mox" Kenyon
It ain’t all bubbly and shiny like... but it gets the job done!

Killer nods as she picks up the bottle.

Kara “Killer” Carter
And that’s all that matters…

The behemoth takes a large gulp from the bottle and lets out a happy ‘aaah’.

Tori Carter
Now everyone’s happy.

Just then we see Shieldmaiden’s Road Captain, Becca “Bruiser” Maguire enter the club with a look of concern on her face as she approaches the bar.

Becca “Bruiser” Maguire
We’ve got a serious fuckin’ problem, Jack.

Caught by surprise, Bandit sets her drink down.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
What’s the deal?

Becca “Bruiser” Maguire
I just saw Jackson gettin’ loaded into the back o’ a fuckin’ ambulance just outside.

Kara “Killer” Carter
What?!

Tori Carter
Are you sure it was Jackson? But… what happened?

Becca “Bruiser” Maguire
It was him for sure, aye. Tried askin’ the paramedics what happened but they were in a hurry and probably wouldn’t have told me anyway. So I asked Bear and Pepper if they saw or heard what happened and apparently someone tried to carjack him a few blocks away.

Bandit sits her drink down and immediately pulls her phone from her pocket

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
Crash? I need you and Burn to look into a traffic incident. Somebody got Jackson, couple of blocks from the club. Yeah, thanks.

She pauses and then dials another number.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
Ale, situation, somebody tried to jack Jackson’s ride with him in it…

She nods and ends the call.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
On their way.

Tori looks at Bandit, Killer, Bruiser and Mox with a worried look on her face.

Tori Carter
You don’t think…

Kara “Killer” Carter
...that it was them?

The behemoth folds her tree trunk like arms across her chest.

Kara “Killer” Carter
It fucking has to be.

Bandit raises a hand up.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
Let’s slow down here. Could it be they just hit him?

She nods.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
Yes, and I would even concede that it is likely they did, but right now that doesn’t matter yet. We need to find out about Jackson and we need to get somebody over to his house just in case this really was a hit and they’re not done yet. Jenni Taylor and her mother might not be prepared for something like that.

Bruiser nods.

Becca “Bruiser” Maguire
Aye. Jack? You and I will grab Sorsh and head over to Jenni’s and we’ll meet Ale there.

The heavily tattooed woman then turns to Killer, Mox and Tori.

Becca “Bruiser” Maguire
Ya’ll get to the hospital and see if ya can find out any information on what happened but more importantly, make sure Jackson is okay. Any objections?

Mox shakes her head as does Bandit.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
I am not looking forward to this conversation…

Kara “Killer” Carter
I’ll let you know if we find out anything once we get there.

The five of them disperse, all leaving the club as we fade.

We open back up to find Killer and Bandit sitting on the hood of Bandit’s black and gold 2018 Ford Mustang with their MHW Tag Team Championships over their shoulders. Both of the expressions on their faces display a mixture of emotions such as concern and anger.

Kara “Killer” Carter
Feels like we’ve been here way too many fucking times lately, Jack.

Bandit nods grimly.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
Sometimes, it just goes with the profession…

Kara “Killer” Carter
But for us… it sometimes goes with our personal lives too.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
The Crosses we bear..

Killer smirks.

Kara “Killer” Carter
Nice little segue into why we’re here. It ain’t the first time we… The Wild Hunt… have stepped into the ring with Justice and Anthony.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
No, no it is not…

Killer smirks arrogantly.

Kara “Killer” Carter
First, we beat them to advance into the finals of the Tag Team Championship tournament… and then we beat them again in that Eight Person Tag Team match.

Bandit nods slowly.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
And here we are again, Mile High Spectacular…

Kara “Killer” Carter
My first Mile High Spectacular… my first Tag Team Championship reign… and I’m teaming up with someone who has a lot of experience at this event… and a lot of experience as a Tag Team Champion.

The behemoth glances down at her championship briefly before focusing back onto the camera.

Kara “Killer” Carter
And quite frankly, I’m not ready to say goodbye to these championships… and neither does Jack. So what do you think that means for you two, Justice? Anthony?

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
This is my third Mile Spectacular and in booked matches at them, I’ve defended the championships twice and I’ve won twice. The first time, it was against Skrabz’s bitches and if not for some bullshit being pulled, Sam and I would have walked out the champions still because we pinned them straight up only for them to get a second bite at the apple and pull a fast one. The next time they had the balls to get in the ring with us, we put them down again and so badly that Skrabz sent them back into whatever hole they crawled out of! The second Mile High Spectacular saw Sam and I defend against Space Lord and Thundering Terry… the Sports Entertainment Xpress…

She smirks, amused.

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
We cut a promo that time people are still talking about and asking if we’re ever going to do a sequel and I can tell you right now, there is no way that Kara here would be caught dead doing that!

Bandit can’t help but laugh.

Kara “Killer” Carter
You ain’t kidding! There is only ONE person on this planet who gets to see me like that and that’s Gabs… and more importantly, it ain’t on camera for the whole world to see!

Bandit snickers again as Killer continues.

Kara “Killer” Carter
Fact is… since we formed the Wild Hunt… we’ve been undefeated… which is more than what can be said about the two of you. Funny thing is… despite our short run as an official tag team… and Hell… despite how long we’ve known each other. We look like more of a tag team than you two do… and you two are a couple and have been together for what? Fifteen years?

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
Been together five minutes, champs already and you bet your ass we’re coming to make it stay that way!

Killer nods.

Kara “Killer” Carter
Damn right! So yeah… looks like you two may wanna think of another reason why you wanna be here in Mile High… because as long as Bandit and I are champions? You ain’t gonna be!

Jackie “Bandit” Layton
Get ready… because The Hunt is on!

The two clink their belts together and get off the hood of the car when Bruiser can be seen approaching them.

Becca “Bruiser” Maguire
The two o’ ya’ll need to come inside…

Killer and Bandit glance at one another and then back at Bruiser’s concerned face before nodding as the three head back into the hospital as we fade.

To see the Shieldmaidens’ Road Captain suddenly appear in what felt like the middle of a promo was not just unusual, it was alarming.

This had literally never happened before.

To the members of the Wild Hunt, Jackie “Bandit” Layton and Kara “Killer” Carter, this cast a pall over things and gave them both a sense of foreboding dread in what Becca “Bruiser” Maguire was going to tell them. The three of them start back across the parking lot towards the front door of the medical center, none of them looking particularly enamored with this idea.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: This doesn’t sound good, Bex…

Bruiser shakes her head as the three Shieldmaidens enter the hospital.

Becca "Bruiser" Maguire: That’s coz it ain’t, lass…

Bandit and Killer both share a concerned look with each other as they continue making their way to where Jackson Shane was being kept. As they come close they can see Jackson’s girlfriend, Jenni Taylor, standing off to the side with someone in scrubs. Bandit holds out her hand for everyone to stop just as Jenni lets out a horrible scream

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Fuck…

They watch as Jenni falls to her knees, her mother running to her side.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Fuck… fuck…

Killer clenches her fists and looks like she’s about to burst, but seeing the distraught on Jenni’s face, all the behemoth can do is fall back first against the wall as she slides down to a crouched position and puts her head in her hands.

Kara "Killer" Carter: This can’t be fucking happening…

Bruiser remains silent as she places her arm around the back of Bandit as she makes the sign of the cross with her free hand.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: I cannot imagine…

She shakes her head and then exhales heavily.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Tori’s going to blame herself for this, isn’t she?

Becca "Bruiser" Maguire: Ain’t no doubt about it, lass.

Killer stands back up to her feet as both Bandit and Bruiser turn to face her. The initial reaction on the behemoth’s face has now been replaced with a one of rage.

Kara "Killer" Carter: That’s fucking it! I’m ending this shit once and for all!

The younger Carter sister then begins to make a beeline for the hospital exit as Bruiser and Bandit head after her.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Kara…. Kara!

As they come to the door, they find their President, Alex “Bullet” Carbajal, all but waiting for them.

Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: Kara… stop… we have a different problem right now…

Kara "Killer" Carter: I’m sure you can all sort this different problem out without me! I’m ending this thing right now! Those mother fuckers have made my life miserable since the day I was born! They took away my niece! And now they’ve killed an innocent man who was just doing his fucking job! Well that will be the last time they will ever hurt anyone ever again!

Bullet remains still, not budging from her spot as Killer seethes.

Kara "Killer" Carter: I’ll ask this nicely… not just because you’re my boss… but because you’re my future sister-in-law… step aside and let me end this…

Bullet remains unmoved.

Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: Kara, you need to put that aside for a second and go to Tori. You need to help Mox make her see she did not do this. You know how hard this has hit her already. You know this will hit her more. You need to go make sure your sister knows she has family that does not blame her for everything. If we do not, we will be attending two funerals in the next week because Tori will take it all on herself.

Killer glares at Bullet, her chest heaving with anger as both Bandit and Bruiser seem to be ready for anything that may occur. After what feels like a lifetime, Killer’s heaving slows with the glare remaining as a single tear trickles down her face. Eventually the behemoth nods, allowing Bandit and Bruiser to stand down.

Kara "Killer" Carter: Okay…

Bullet nods, softens and embraces Killer, Bandit moving in to do the same.

Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: That goes for you as well… familia…

Bruiser tentatively joins in the embrace too, despite her not being the sort to do so, this was an emotional time for everyone and so the Road Captain at least wanted to show that she cared. After a few moments, Bruiser breaks away from the embrace and looks back towards Jenni who is now in an embrace of her own with her mother with tears streaming down her face.

Becca "Bruiser" Maguire: What are we goin’ to do about Jenni?

Bandit looks back over as well.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: What else can we do but show her we care and give her her space?

Bullet nods.

Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: Es la verdad…

Killer looks over as well and much like earlier when she was ready to storm out of the hospital, she begins to make her way back into the hospital with the other three following. Once the four reach the two grieving women, Jenni looks over to them.

Kara "Killer" Carter: Jenni? I’m sorry. Jackson was… he was one of the good ones. If you need anything… let me know.

Jenni starts to nod then starts shaking her head and loses it all over again. Bandit moves in quickly and catches her, allowing the English woman to sob on her shoulder.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: We’ve got you…

Jenni’s mother, Emilie Taylor, simply shakes her head.

Emilie Taylor: I can’t…

Bullet nods and she and Killer embrace the older woman.

Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: We have you too…

Bruiser then begins to feel her cell phone vibrate and she quickly removes it from her pocket, checking the caller ID, she sees it’s her wife and answers it while briefly excusing herself from the rest of them.

Becca "Bruiser" Maguire: Aye, lass? ...aye, it ain’t good news at all I’m afraid… we’re at the hospital with ‘em now… let the others know… oh and Sorsh? Keep an eye on Tori… aye, poor lass will be blamin’ herself for this shite… we’ll be back soon…

Bruiser ends the call and turns her attention back to the group.

Becca "Bruiser" Maguire: I’ve let Sorsh know what’s happened and told her to let everyone else know… and I’ve asked her to keep an eye on Tori until we get back.

Just then, Jenni’s younger sister, Kelly Taylor, and Kelly’s fiancee, Alissa Lacroix arrive.

Kelly Taylor: Oh fuck me…

The two hurry over to Jenni and quickly take her into their arms.Bullet nods and steps back, Bandit, Bruiser and Killer doing the same.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: We should go…

Bruiser nods.

Becca "Bruiser" Maguire: Aye. Let’s get movin’.

Bullet nods and turns to head for the door.

Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: You remember, Kara, this was not your fault either…

Killer nods.

Kara "Killer" Carter: Oh, trust me… I know exactly who’s fault it is, Ale. And after I’ve made sure Tori is okay? They better fucking pray they get arrested before I see them next!

Bullet nods understandingly as they head to their vehicles to take their leave of the medical facility.

The camera opens on the members of the Wild Hunt, Jackie “Bandit” Layton and Kara “Killer” Carter standing next to each other in front of the main stage, neither one of them looking best pleased at the moment.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: I’d say welcome to my club…

She pauses to shrug.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: But this isn’t a grand tour.

Kara "Killer" Carter: Far from it…

Turning around, Killer picks up their Tag Team Championships that were resting on the stage behind them and hands one of them to Bandit as the behemoth drapes her own over her shoulder.

Kara "Killer" Carter: But as the old saying goes… the show must go on.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Good Queen song too, not that anybody would believe we’d know it given how punk rock and heavy metal we usually come off.

Killer nods.

Kara "Killer" Carter: Never judge a book by it’s cover. But Hell, we’re used to that by now. People see us and they form opinions on the kind of people we are right then and there.

The behemoth shrugs.

Kara "Killer" Carter: But that’s not important…

Bandit nods pointedly.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Then again, maybe it is considering how Justice Cross tends to be. Especially when she’s arguing on Twitter about whether or not tweeting something where everybody can see it constitutes being in public or not…

Killer rolls her eyes.

Kara "Killer" Carter: I count myself lucky that we aren’t following each other then. I’m amazed her husband is even able to put up with her. Out of the two of them, he’s the only one who I have a lick of respect for as he seems to be the only one out of the two who has any respect for us.

Bandit nods to her partner in agreement.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Big Man does seem to get it on some level the way she doesn’t have a fucking clue… doesn’t he?

Kara "Killer" Carter: Yup. Perhaps he may even be able to get through her thick skull when it comes to actually working together properly like a well oiled machine. I mean… I don’t know about you Jack but it seems to me like Justice would prefer to go at it alone. She does seem like the greedy type after all, so it wouldn’t surprise me if she’d rather go after one of the other championships available here in Mile High and leave her husband in the rear view mirror.

Bandit snickers.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: That’d be almost as dumb as the Twitter thing.

Again, Bandit pauses to nod in acknowledgement.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Which… almost seems par for the course with her…

Killer nods as she folds her tree trunk like arms across her chest.

Kara "Killer" Carter: Or perhaps after you and I beat them again… maybe Anthony will see sense and go it alone himself. It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if he ends up being more successful than Justice.

Bandit raises a hand in mock consternation.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Oh, don’t look now, Killer, but they’re going to say we're looking over them now with talk like that.

Killer mockingly places her hands on the sides of her face and drops her jaw, feigning being in shock.

Kara "Killer" Carter: Oh no! Whatever will we do now?!

Her expression quickly changes back to a more serious one and she folds her arms again.

Kara "Killer" Carter: Yeah, we don’t fucking care! And the reason for that, is because not only are WE the ones who are holding the gold, but we always back up what we say when we step in between those ropes! You wanna be the best tag team here in Mile High?! Well you’re looking at the best tag team here in Mile High!

Removing her title from over shoulder, she holds it up to the camera and points to it.

Kara "Killer" Carter: You wanna be Tag Team Champions?! Well then you’re gonna have to bring everything you’ve got and more this Sunday! Because we’re not planning on giving these titles up any time soon… especially to a “tag team” like the two of you!

Bandit nods.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: We’re not overlooking you, we’re looking through you and zeroing in on where we should start hitting right off because we’ve been in the ring with you before. We know what to expect with the way you fight and we know that while you both are physically gifted, you both have skills, if we leave it up to Justice…

She shrugs.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Well, even with the week we’ve had, you're not outhinking either of us, are you?

Kara "Killer" Carter: Far from it. And we know what you’re going to say. You’re going to say that you’ve studied the last match we had against each other… and that you’ve recognised our strengths and weaknesses so this time around… the outcome will be different.

Killer scoffs.

Kara "Killer" Carter: And what the fuck do you think we’ve been doing?! Just because we beat you… that doesn’t mean we ain’t looking back on that match too! Because that’s what we do! Despite the fact that we’re undefeated as a tag team so far… and despite the fact that we’re the current reigning and defending Tag Team Champions?! We still study! We still train! Because we know that to be the best… you have to keep working hard to stay at the top of the fucking mountain!

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: Damn fucking right!

She glares into the camera.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: And if Justice is going to continue to do shit like that, we’ll make her pay for it rather dearly!

Kara "Killer" Carter: So with that being said… I think the time for talking is over. What do you think, Jack?

Bandit smiles almost hungrily into the camera.

Jackie "Bandit" Layton: I smell prey…

Killer smirks and licks her lips.

Kara "Killer" Carter: The Hunt is on…
