Maguire-Knox Residence New Orleans, LA August 14th, 2021 OFF-Camera As Wendy “Zombie” Pellegrini and Katrina “Hairicin” Knox wind down from their workout in the sauna gazebo of the Knox yard, Aoife “Banshee” Maguire-Knox comes out and taps on the glass, to get their attention and holds up a single finger. Una. Zombie and Hairicin simultaneously cock their eyebrows and laugh, though inaudible from outside the gazebo, and do their fist bump. Aoife opens the door, and noticing the looks on her wife’s and partner’s faces, Aoife knew something was up. Aoife: Whot ya bae tinkin’ o’, lasses?Katrina: Oh, nothing. Just a little… initiation of sorts.Wendy: Yeah, ever since Kat here went and tried to get Una laid, I guess it worked?Aoife crosses her arms across her chest and shakes her head. Aoife: Lass isnay a Prospect.Wendy: No, but she’s our manager and our friend, Eef. A little ribbing won’t hurt. Ready partner?Katrina smirks and leans into Wendy. Katrina: Been waiting for this for a week. Let’s go.As they cross the yard to the main house, they can see Una Quinn with her back to her proteges, and Lexa looking up at them. Lexa sees the looks on the women’s faces and Wendy puts a finger to her mouth. Wendy and Katrina take two of the outdoor chairs, turn them around, and sit on either side of Una Quinn, both stretching their necks to look her in the face closely. Katrina: Well, well, well. Look who’s back after, what, five days away?Una sighs and smiles a crooked smile, and shakes her head. Una: I missed you guys too.Wendy: Oh no no no, it’s not going down like that. You scoffed when Kat had you post that pic. And next thing we hear, you got the attention of Mr. Abs there and it’s like we saw a whole different side of you.Una leans back in her chair, all the while Lexa is slowly shaking her head. Aoife was inside getting drinks for everyone but watching from the kitchen window. Katrina: So? Is he nice?Una lowers her head and nods. Wendy: I’ve met Ronnie and Sylvia briefly in Hybrid, they’re good people. Now, we know you went to Chicago, but I highly doubt you guys STAYED in Chicago…Una: Hayesville. I went to his place. Well, his and Sylvia’s. She lives there. It’s beautiful.Wendy: Hayesville, Hayesville, that’s about a couple of hours southwest of Asheville if I remember. Drove through there on the way to an Ascension show IN Asheville. It’s a nice area.Katrina: I’ve never been.Una: It reminded me of home. New Zealand.Wendy bristles a bit at the mention of New Zealand, and Katrina notices. Wendy: Had a friend come from New Zealand. Jasmine, well her name wasn’t Jasmine when I knew her. Long, convoluted story.Katrina: What did you do out there in Hayesville?Una looks at the two of them and finally pushes them back a little bit, almost playfully. Una: Swimming, stargazing, walked along dirt trails… other stuff…Before Wendy or Katrina gets a comment in, Lexa speaks up. Lexa: I think it’s beautiful yous found somebody, and I knows who he is. A real gentleman, and protective of Miss Sylvia. How did Sylvia handle you in the picture?Una: Surprisingly well. I knew Sylvia would take some time to warm up to anybody new in her circle, but she gave me her stamp of approval. I love her, she’s awesome to just be around. He has this frenetic energy and Ronnie is much more laid back, and yet has a bit of a child-like quality. He’s cute, I like him. I… kinda miss him already.Katrina: How long before I can start complaining about you guys being too loud?Aoife had come back to the yard as Katrina had asked the question, and laughed. Aoife: Ah bae Banshee fer many reasons then, lass?Katrina helps Aoife with the drinks after a quick kiss and a knowing smack on the ass. Una goes back to trying to hide her head in her hair, and Wendy shakes her head and curls a finger under Una’s chin and lifts her head back up. Wendy: We did warn you, when we travel, to get your own room. Those two are savages.Una: I um… can we talk about something else? You know, getting back to business?Wendy: Oh we will, but Harry and I are having too much fun right now. How good is he?Una’s eyes go wide, and Wendy moves her chair directly in front of Una, looking her square in the face like a police investigation. Una starts to get a stern look on her face, as Hairicin stands up behind her, her hands on Una’s shoulders. Una starts to calm a bit, Hairicin’s grip almost reassuring. Una: THAT, Wendy, is none of your business. Do I ask you how well Lexa satisfies you?Wendy: Do you want to know?Lexa: WENDY!Lexa laughs and starts to blush, and Una does the same. Wendy slowly shakes her head, smiling wide. She looks up to Hairicin and nods. Wendy: Safe to say, she’s been satisfied. What say you?Katrina: Probably more than once by the fact she’s trying to hide in her chair.Wendy gets up and moves her chair away and nods her head approvingly. Hairicin steps back and nods as well, allowing Una to stand up. Una looks at the two of them apprehensively before the two extend their fists to Una in solidarity. Wendy: NOW you’re an official member of The Purge. We had to see whether what you were showing us was a front, and what kind of person was behind it. If you’re going to talk for us, if you’re going to be our hype and our heat, we had to know we can trust you and that you trusted us. And you passed.Aoife and Lexa come around and stand around Una, and extend their fists with their wives. Una looks around at the four of them, relief coming over her as she smiles, and extends her fist to join the others. Wendy and Hairicin sandwich Una in a hug, before the other two hug her one at a time. They sit down again, Wendy moving beside Lexa, and Katrina beside Aoife, with Una in the middle of the four. Katrina: NOW… we can get down to business.Purge Compound Unknown Location August 15th, 2021 ON-Camera Nothing can be seen, but if you listen closely, one could hear the roar of motorcycles in the distance coming closer. The tread of rubber crunching the gravel beneath it as motor after motor is turned off. The sound of footsteps across the same gravel. An old creaky door opens and closes. The masked members of The Purge, Katrina “Hairicin” Knox and Wendy “Zombie” Pellegrini take their positions in a power stance. Feet apart, arms crossed, chins up, chests out, shoulders back, and stomachs in. Even with their riot gear on, the assertiveness of their stances is quite noticeable. Una Quinn is wearing the same riot gear, though unmasked, as she paces from one end of the screen to the other. “Mile High Wrestling, I told you not to sleep on us. I said changes were coming. I gave you all fair warning. And yet, despite that, Meizumi and Eikichi Kirigawa didn’t listen. I wasn’t cryptic in any way. We even gave away the spoiler that Zombie here was cleared to compete before the last show, but by the time the match started? You still had not prepared. And it cost you. I take no joy in what happened last show.”Una turns to look behind her and sees neither of them is moving at all. “They don’t either. For us, this is the way we have to handle our business. There is no good or evil anymore, there is only selfishness. Everybody is only out for themselves. This person wants this, this person wants that. This person wants their cake and someone else’s cake to go with it. This one wants to prove she’s more than just a trophy wife and wants to take over the show. Selfishness. All we want is simple. Competition. What, did you think I was going to say respect? Let everybody else on this roster want your respect. We’re not the Sullivans who’ll take on the role of homewrecker to get ahead. We’re not the Second City Snoozer Squad who has to protect the current champion. We’re not even the rest of the Shieldmaidens. I can name off every person top to bottom, but it’d be the next verse same as the first. Everybody wants respect, but we have something far greater than that. What he have is your willingness to pay to see The Purge whether you respect us or not. We get your money, we get your attention, we win in the end. Speaking of the next verse being the same as the first.”Una looks back again before going back to the camera. “Meizumi Kirigawa, we’ve already faced you. We’ve already BEAT you. The world watched you tap out to the Banshee’s Wail that Hairicin here locked in. You tried to escape, and I can say on behalf of all of us, you are impressive. I know, a bit of surprise hearing compliments coming from our camp, but we believe in giving the devil their due when it’s warranted. You showed great passion, great heart, great talent… and great sorrow when Zombie nearly snapped your dear father’s arm.I should be honest, as much as we knew we would see the two of you again, I did not expect it to be so soon. We were hoping to wear you down some more until you had no other option. Instead, I assume Eikichi went crying to Robert, or even Katrina, begging to be allowed out of retirement so he can right the wrongs you feel you have received. You do realize that creates a precedent. With the Macks allowing this to happen, they have now opened a door that they cannot close. That is not smart business. Considering the source...s, I am not surprised.”Una takes a deep breath and shakes her head a minute before regaining her calm demeanor. “Katrina Mack, from what I was told, you were supposed to be the good one. When people started to choose sides, they said you were the better option. However, people seem to forget your contribution to Mile High. You are the one who brought back the guy nobody wants to see here anymore in Skrabal Stanzas, contrary to what Eavan Maloney tried to make people believe. You portrayed the quiet, demure one when in reality, you are the true mastermind. I have to admit, the plan is genius, again we will give the devil their due. However, when said devil dares to aim the pitchfork at me, at us, they quickly realize their error or pay for said error brutally. That is not a threat, Ms. Mack. You step on our toes, we step on your throat. THAT is the new rule around here. So, let’s talk about your big ideas that you announced yesterday and just this morning. Making the Hardcore Championship be defended until 24/7 Rules. We originally bristled at the idea, until we remembered who we are so consider this a warning. While we are doing Mile High business, you want a shot at Hairicin? Come try your luck. However, ANYONE who is dumb enough to come down here to New Orleans and wants to try their luck? Just remember. These women know the swamps and bayous like the backs of their hands. Nobody would find you, and there’d be nothing left to identify you were even here.Hairicin will continue to be the Mile High Wrestling Hardcore Champion until SHE decides to hand it over. That could happen as soon as she wins that Rise of the Phoenix Tournament, and gets any title match she wants, in any WAY she wants. Imagine the possibilities, imagine the marquee. The Hardcore Champion calling out the Ultimate Champion in the bloodiest, goriest, most dangerous match Mile High Wrestling has ever seen. A match that could make Splat’s shareholders demand they end Mile High’s television deal. A match that sponsors would field hate from all over social media. That's not a prediction, that's a spoiler.Perhaps the biggest announcement of them all is this Game Over Penitentiary at the pay-per-view of the same name. Six people locked into an impressive structure, and of those six, you have the returning Hall of Famer Wendy “Zombie” Pellegrini who wants MORE than just the Ultimate Championship, but wants to give Leah Aguero a couple of much-needed receipts. And I will go ahead now and say that Leah will retain her title because the last time she fought El Diablo Blanco, if she was smart even in victory, she’s scouted him. She knows where to hurt him, she knows how to beat him. So, call me Nostradamus, but it will be Game Over for the white devil. The future is later, and we are in the now.”Una continues to pace, her pink hair continually getting in her face before she combs it back with her fingers. “To be honest, Meizumi, you shouldn’t want this match either. It would make sense that you would rebound quickly from your injuries, or change your style of fighting to protect your ailments. You’re young, you’re in shape, you train for here and other places, we can appreciate that. But what about your father, Eikichi? He’s done his time in a wrestling ring, that has been established. Re’s retired, the years in this industry broke his body down over time. What can he REALLY do now with only one arm? Do not insult our intelligence and have him appear without a sling, waving his hand in the air like he just does not care. It takes considerably longer than a couple of weeks to recover from a kimura lock. BUT, let’s say he HAS mobility in his arm, it will be his weakest point. Just as your shoulder and neck will be yours. Are you following the logic here?”Hairicin and Zombie lean forward as they uncross their arms, and both remove their masks. “Last ThrowDown, we stretched you as far as we needed to.”“This ThrowDown, we stretch you as far as we damn well WANT to.”“I’ve heard people ask what the other Shieldmaidens think about us. Honestly, I hope they were watching. For too long, the others were living up to their handles. Bullet. Bandit. Killer. Bruiser. Psycho. Krigare. Zombie and I were…”“Second-rate. We may wear the same colors and go to the same Church, but there’s always been a distance between us and them. They’re still family but it’s long-due time we get fucking noticed. Last week, we did just that. This week, we’ll do it again. WE are the ones on the tips of everyone’s tongues, we’re in their heads and it’s about damn time.”Una places a hand on each of them to step back, and they do so, returning to their militant positions, masks off. “And if anyone, ANYONE, has something to say, or wants to throw down no pun intended, we’re not hard to find. In fact? Nah, we’re done here.”
